パリで購入した珍しいミニチュアバイオリン。サイズ以外本物とそっくり。細部まで巧妙な構造に感服した。30年代のフランスでは、バイオリンは紛らわしくない正真正銘な贅沢品だった。恐らく良家お嬢様練習のための特注品だろうと思う。

30年代的法国乃至欧洲，小提琴是绝对的奢侈品，至今依然是富人的专用乐器。当时拥有小提琴很难，比拥有更难的是天赋。富裕人家为确保不浪费钱，按实物比例仿真制造可拉动的微型小提琴，用于试验女儿的天赋。
杜拉斯在《情人》中多次提及家中有钢琴自己无天赋，为此终生耿耿于怀。我时常在想，印度支那盛产木材，倘若杜拉斯的母亲当年也给她订做一把微型仿真比例“玩具”小提琴，文学史上是否会因此失去一位享誉世界的伟大的作家？
